This post documents my experience on November 19, 2017.
Here, in this rather inconspicuous building on Lorain Avenue…
…DJ’s were spinning…
…food vendors were prepping (The Manna Truck)…
…and Clevelanders were shopping.
This was The Cleveland Flea Holiday Market…
…a 4 weekend long, seasonal flea and handmade craft market…
…with various items that were nostalgic…
…exotic…
…and filled with holiday cheer.
The selection was quite impressive…
…as it satisfied the cravings of those interested in local print (Belt Publishing)…
…nature inspired jewelry (2 Odd Birds)…
…luxury clothing (Yellowcake Shop)…
…children’s clothing (Tangled Tangerine)…
…Cleveland handcrafted leather accessories (FOUNT)…
…and accessories of an entirely different sort (Cool Critters).
Plus there were T-shirts that expressed your love of veggies (Refresh)…
…pottery for holding plants (held)…
…candles for growing plants (Hyggelight Candles)…
…bar products (to help cope with not having a green thumb) (Pope’s Kitchen)…
…and some hand lettered old…er…stuff (hlos).
If eating was more your thing, you were in luck…

…as there was a nice selection of food vendors spread about (The Croqueteria/Nine Spoons)…
…some with some decadent holiday pierogi (The Pierogi Lady)…
…and others with just the right heat on such a cool wintery day (Spice Catering Co.).

Fortunately, with such great foods, there were great desserts via baked goods and sweets (Floressa Cafe/Sugar Bomb).
Or if you wanted just the tiniest sweet treat, maybe you could even swing by the Gingerbread Homes booth…
…and request a gum drop or two from the kids’ decorating station*.
* = this is not a real suggestion. Really. Don’t be rude. :-)
