This post documents my experience on August 26, 2017.

Behind St. Josaphat’s in Ukrainian Village…

…passed the Men’s Club’s Rummage Sale…

…and across the field…

…there was a festival taking place.

The St. Josaphat Ukrainian Festival was split into an outdoor and indoor area…

…with the outdoor offering such activities as an inflatable sports center…

…tractor rides…

…face painting…

…musical entertainment…

…and, deep in this corner of food vendors…

…through the gate and around the building…

…horse rides…

…and a petting zoo…

…which included friendly goats and skittish ducks.

As the lively music filled the air…

…guests shopped among Ukrainian gifts…

…learned about efforts to help Ukrainian families (Cleveland Maidan Assoc.)…

…congratulated the Ternopil soccer team…

…and considered their mobile network (Lycamobile).

With food only purchasable through tickets (ugh!)…

…the outdoor area offered a beer tent…

…and such food items as potato pancakes and pork shishkabobs.

There was much more food indoors…

…not to mention gifts…

…music…

…and a gift raffle…

…and as hungry guests patiently waited in line…

…volunteers worked hard to serve them.

I ended up with a simple plate of cabbage and noodles and 2 stuffed cabbage rolls…

…while others around me purchased a variety of items.

Truth be told, I was holding back for some dessert…

…namely the not-so-Ukrainian but incredibly delicious Hoho cake.
