Riverfront Arts Festival – Columbus, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on September 28, 2012.

When I arrived near the Riverfront Arts Festival in Columbus, I wasn’t sure where I was supposed to park.

Since it was located right next to COSI (Center of Science and Industry)….…there was plenty of paid parking in the area…

…(even if you rode in on a bike)..But, fortunately, I was able to cash in on my occasional good fortune…

…and find this parking spot shortly after 6 when metered parking became free

Scouting my way to Genoa Park along the Scioto River…

…I found myself before a long row of (70+) artists…

…who offered such items as melting clocks (Hilary Wiezbenski)…

…custom knives (Jim Parker)…

…jewelry made from bowling bowls (Matt Cole)….

 …colorful funky jewelry (Melissa Woods)….

…and some cool art from Betsy Emrich and Britt Hallowell.

I even got to see Tiffany Kimmet, who I met at the Lakewood Arts Festival.

Happy day indeed!.

Within the row of artists….

…I also noticed an arts council or two (Hilliard)…

…as well as plenty of balsamics and oils to taste.

But, in the end, I kept being led back to the center of the festival….

…where there were a few foods booths…

…a large amount of soda, wine, beer…

…(including Buckeye Vodka)…

…and an entertainment stage set up right against the river…

…with quite the backdrop, if I say so myself.
