This post documents my experience on August 14, 2021.
It was a beautiful day out at Quarry Hill Orchards.
Inside, the market was full of guests…
…sampling a slice of watermelon or melon…
…sometimes a bit of both…
…heading upstairs to the upper level…
…to take part in the candle bar…
…and shopping through all the produce…
…namely for peaches…
…as it was time for the Peaches and Cream Summer Harvest Festival.
As guests made their ways toward the back, they could check out the bakery section…
…where there were peach cookies available…
…other items decorated with peaches…
…peach chai from Sheri’s Coffee House…
…and some peach aprons for sale (Linda’s Other Life – photo courtesy of Quarry Hill Orchards).
But outside was where the real magic happened.
As festival goers swayed their hips to an Indigo Girls cover…
…children got their faces painted (Amazing Moments)…
….hungry guests grabbed a taco (Barra)…
…and just about everyone made their way to the ice cream line…
…for a scoop of peach ice cream and fresh peach slices – the true hero of the festival.
Luca was definitely into it for a few minutes…
…until he looked up, noticed Zuzu Chocolates…
…and begged me for a chocolate covered Oreo…
…allowing me to finish the ice cream.
