Cherry Blossoms, the Arts, Vendor Shows and more.
Welcome back, festival fans.
If you got to get away for Spring Break recently, I hope you had a wonderful time.
I made my way to Washington DC…
…just as the cherry blossoms peaked…
…and they were beautiful!
If you can’t make it to Washington DC this weekend, you could head to Akron for the Downtown Akron Sakura Festival, where you will find 472 Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees along the Towpath trail in downtown Akron.
The festival also offers local vendors, food vendors, and live performances related to the Japanese culture (ie Taiko Drummers, Yasu Japanese storytelling). There are also special events you can register for that include Sake and Sushi Tasting, Paint in the Park and a guided bike ride on the Towpath.
Also this weekend, there’s an Art Festival in Hillsboro, an Oddmall event in Aurora, Jagerfest in Olmsted Falls and plenty of Vendor Markets and Fairs.
If you’re looking for something different, check out the Spring Button Show in Sugarcreek, the Medina Railroad and Toy Show, the Sewing and Quilt Expo in Cleveland and the Pet Expo in Cleveland.

If you didn’t already know, any date with an asterisk (*) means that I haven’t confirmed that event. Once the date is confirmed by me, I remove the asterisk and update the listing as necessary. Certain events will also get copied over to the Cleveland Festival Guide, the Columbus Festival Guide or the Cincinnati Festival Guide.
I have gone through May a second time and it’s looking really good. I’ll be working on June and July this month.
As an FYI, just because the event has an asterisk doesn’t mean that the official festival website linked to the event isn’t already updated. So feel free to check it, just to be sure.
