Medina Ice Festival, Lunar New Year, a variety of Shows and more.
Welcome back, festival fans.
This weekend, the Medina Ice Festival (Review) returns, giving you a fun reason to head to the downtown square and visit the businesses.
In downtown Akron, the Lunar New Year is being celebrated with plenty of entertainment, including Lion Dances, Martial Arts, and Music, some great grub from sushi to banh mi, vendors, activities and more.
Plus there’s a Vodka Fest in Cleveland, a Brewfest at Fifth Third Field in Toledo and an outdoor winter beerfest called Mittenfest in Cincinnati.
All this with an assortment of shows and fairs celebrating Home and Garden, Golf, Plants, Cars, Bottles and Reptiles.

I’ve been updating the Ohio Festival Guide and Ohio Fair and Show Guide for 2025.
If you didn’t already know, any date with an asterisk (*) means that I haven’t confirmed that event. Once the date is confirmed by me, I remove the asterisk and update the listing as necessary. Certain events will also get copied over to the Cleveland Festival Guide, the Columbus Festival Guide or the Cincinnati Festival Guide.
Currently, I have just gone through July and hope to do another update on March before digging into August.
Next month, I’ll definitely start looking at September events and possibly October.
As an FYI, just because the event has an asterisk doesn’t mean that the official festival website linked to the event isn’t already updated. So feel free to check it, just to be sure.
Also, sometimes, by checking an event in May, I find info on other events going on later in the year and confirm those as well.
So you may be surprised and happy as you plan for things in the fall.
