34.) Ohio Celtic Festival Review – Painesville Township – August 12, 2018

AUTHOR’S NOTE: The festival changed location in 2019.

Out at the Lake County Fairgrounds…

…the beer was pouring…

…the bagpipers were playing (Irish American East Side Pipe Band)…

…and I got to see one…

…two…

…and more Irish Wolfhounds (one of my favorite breeds).

This was the Ohio Celtic Festival

…where festival goers could enjoy great music (Narrowbacks)…

…among 4 music stages…

…enjoy some Irish whiskey tastings…

…bet on their Irish luck with some raffle entries…

…and enjoy some shopping opportunities…

…particularly here…

…where vendors sold…

…Irish themed shirts (Eire’s/Irish American Club East Side)…

…kilts (American Highlander Kilts)…

…travel and landscape photography (Celticgirl Travels)…

…locally made chocolates (Chocolates by Erin)…

…and more Irish things a-plenty.

And while there was face painting for kids in this building as well…

…most kids’ activities were just outside in another area…

…set up with a stage for magic shows…

…some crime lab fun…

…games…

…and inflatables to jump on.

Adults also had an inflatable but for lounging, drinking and eating…

…including corned beef sandwiches…

…found in the Agriculture building…

…along with Irish pastries and scones.

Beyond that, one with a Celtic palate headed to Sully’s for Irish inspired grub (ie fish and chips, Reuben burgers,  Guinness brats)…

…since the other food vendors offered Italian, Greek and your basic festival favorites.
