The Obetz Zucchinifest takes place at Fortress Obetz…
…where you eyes are taken first to a large carnival with an assortment of rides…
…and games…
…and then to Fortress Obetz itself…
…which held a courtyard stage…
…with some classic rock entertainment…
…and the gateway leading to the big nighttime performance.
Between the two were rows of vendors…
…offering airbrushed T-shirts…
…hand crafted jewelry…
…crafted decor for outside the home…
…as well as for the home’s interior…
…women’s clothing, accessories and products…
…face painting services, caricature drawings…
…massages done by magical hands…
…and more zucchini bread than you could count.
But not only did vendors offer zucchini bread…
…there were selling zucchini jellies as well.
And, if you looked closely at all the food vendors, among their offerings of angus tails, sausages, cheesesteaks…
…noodles, bbq…
…and plethora of fair food options…
…you might notice the advertisement of a zucchini burger…
…zucchini pizza…
…zucchini cheese curds…
…and other zucchini meal options.
There were zucchini dessert options as well.
In the end, I decided to get myself some zucchini fries because they sounded good topped with parmesan and a side of ranch dressing.
And, while they weren’t very food (the zucchini was fried out of them, leaving empty shells of batter), I am glad I gave them a shot.
