Norwalk Strawberry Festival – Norwalk, Ohio – My Experience

2023 DATE: May 26-28, 2023

This post documents my experience on May 26, 2018.

It was a beautiful day in downtown Norwalk…

…as festival goers came to celebrate the Jaycees’ Norwalk Strawberry Festival.

Right off the bat, it was obvious that this festival was family friendly…

…as there were plenty of games…

…a nice amount of rides…

…inflatables galore (Amazing Moments)…

…face painting (Amazing Moments)…

…gem mining (Matrix Mining Company)…

…and even a slime station (Amazing Moments).

And while toddlers had their own isolated play area at one end of the festival (Amazing Moments)…

…the grown-ups had one all their own at another end in the form of a Beer Tent…

…where there was a Beer Tent Stage for musical entertainment.

Other forms of entertainment included a Roaming Magician (Amazing Moments)…

…a main stage for competitions and presentations…

…music by 95.3 WLKR

…and other performances held at designated tents.

Shopping was a little limited with some accessories (Origami Owl)…

…and quite a bit of women’s clothing…

…thanks to three LuLaRoe vendor booths…

…but there was a nice selection of eating options, including Lake Erie perch…

…mac and cheese sandwiches (Sarge’s #1 Concessions)…

…boneless wings…

…corn on the cob (Norwalk Eagles #711)…

…and strawberry shortcake.

And since we’re talking about strawberries…

…next to the info booth is where you could purchase your own strawberries to take home…

…or some Toft’s Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream to eat at the festival.

But I would like to personally thank the fundraising booth of Princess Iris McConnell…

…who got creative with some great strawberry offerings…

…and really helped visitors get excited about strawberries.
