Although I missed Universal’s Harry Potter Festival by attending the day before…
…I did not miss the International Festival of the Arts at Epcot.
Basically, this festival consisted of musical performances in a main staged area, kiosks/tents selling art along the World Showcase, and international food stations (also along the World Showcase)…
…preparing such foods as shrimp ceviche…
…and choriqueso (yum!).
But, before tasting all those international treats, I actually started my day with some ride attractions…
…and a nice long stroll through the World Showcase (Mexico)…
…admiring trolls and vikings (Norway)…
…sampling some school bread from Kringla Bakeri…
…taking in some Chinese culture…
…and then stopping in Japan…
…for a beautiful sushi lunch at Tokyo Dining.
And, thanks to the energy provided by this caramel from Germany’s Karamell-Kuche…
…I continued through Italy…
…France…
…Morocco…
…England…
…Canada…
…and even Mars (eating those international delights in-between).
At the end of the day, I had, once again, walked over 9 miles…and I was tired and hungry.
I headed back to the hotel (Courtyard in Marriott Village), only to realize that I didn’t know where I wanted to eat.
I considered the restaurant from the night before, but it a 30 minute drive from my hotel.
There was a nearby seafood restaurant that looked good, but it was a Friday night and reservations went to 9:30 pm.
So I made a few more phone calls and decided on Sushi Katana, who were nice enough to hold a spot for me…
…and prepare me a delicious dinner of nigiri…
…maki, tuna “sandwich” (triangle cut) and sweet potato fries.
(So here’s where you probably think that I eat too much sushi.)
