FarmFest – Kirtland, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on July 10, 2021.

Through the barn-like entrance building of Lake Metroparks Farmpark

…visitors came to this working farm and education center to celebrate FarmFest

…where a tractor and wagon could give you a lift…

…to the Pond Pavilion…

…for a Wood vs. Ice Carving Competition…

…to The Barnyard area…

…for a visit with various residents…

…and to the Equine Center…

…for demonstrations…

…horse grooming opportunities…

…and animals to both pet…

…and admire.

But, along with the wonderful playground that was a magnet for all children…

…most visitors headed to the Festival Field…

…where adults could check out vehicles in Ganley Village…

…and kids could enjoy all sorts of activities, including the Steer Ring Toss, hand shelling corn…

…pony rides…

…and plenty of tractors to climb on.

Festival Field was also where guests found the food…

…and treats that included donuts and funnel cakes…

…but lines sometimes got long for corn dogs at the Field…

…and at the Machinery Building…

…for the BBQ and pizza.

Fortunately, the Barn also offered beer, wine and popcorn for a temporary hunger fix…

…and some great musical entertainment to help pass the time while waiting in line (Dan McCoy).
