Fall in Love with Wellington – Wellington, Ohio – My Experience

This post documents my experience on October 2, 2022.

In downtown Wellington, visitors admired newly decorated Halloween window displays…

…and got up close to seasonal residents planted along the sidewalks…

…before making their way here…

…where they could “Fall” in Love with the town by means of a festival.

Local groups and organizations were present throughout the festival area, selling raffle tickets to support area schools (Black River Schools)…

…sharing information with freebees like candy and fidget spinners (Wellington Drama Club/Mercy)…

…selling fundraising pumpkins with a free photo op (Wellington United Lions Club)…

…and hosting arts and crafts activities as well as a prize game (Awakening Church/Lincoln Street Chapel).

Meanwhile, the festival had more for the kids, including a small hay maze…

…arts and crafts across the street…

…balloon animals galore…

…and three inflatable houses just down the street…

…giving their parents a chance to shop along the craft tables lined along the sidewalk…

…where offerings included colorful rugs (The Weaver’s Beam)…

…wooden flag art…

…festive purses (Marruka’s Sewing Shoppe)…

…and even some horror-iffic fun.

The shopping was easy with a nearby music performance going to set the mood…

…not-to-mention the possibility of refueling with some Italian sausage or a popcorn chicken bowl…

…just as long as you didn’t miss a chance to get a treat from Ice’d By Alyssa

…where options included chocolate brownie sandwiches and gourmet cupcakes of various flavors.
