40.) Sts. Peter and George Egyptian Fall Festival Review – Westlake – October 7, 2017

The grounds got lively at Sts. Peter and George Coptic Orthodox Church

…as the Egyptian Fall Festival was underway.

Near the drive-thru station, guests could find the main entrance…

…where they could find arrows pointing to various attractions…

…such as Pharoah’s Feast, where food selections included…

kobeiba, cheese pies…

…macaroni bechamel…

…and a beautiful koshari bar to add to your rice…

…the Pyramid Cafe…

…where there was not only Egyptian coffee…

…but also a dessert table…

…filled with great looking cookies and cakes…

…a potential entertainment stage…

…and a vendor area with gifts…

…a beverage station…

…and Neferiti’s Village…

…for hair wraps, names written in Pharaonic…

…and Egyptian tattoos (aka stamps).

The outside area was mostly catered to kids…

…with children’s games…

…arts and crafts…

…inflatable fun…

…music…

…and Disney princesses (and prince) galore.

And while there was some homemade pita being prepared and baked outside, as well as gyros and souvlaki…

…most foods sold outside reflected kids’ favorites such as hot dogs, chicken tenders, fries, ice cream…

…and even some good ole cotton candy.
