AUTHOR’S NOTE: The Columbus Children’s Festival may take place at a different location each year.
This post documents my experience on June 16, 2018.

Back behind the Westerville North High School…

…I found myself in the midst of a soccer tournament…
…a foam fun run…
…and a pancake breakfast…
…with characters from Disney’s Descendents.
This was actually all part of the Columbus Children’s Festival…
…a festival where vendors came together to help children and parents with all issues related to…
…Preschool/Kindergarten (ATC Academy)…
…reading and research (Westerville Public Library)…
…martial arts training (Perdue’s Taekwondo)…
…soccer registration…
…summer theatre (Otterbein)…
…a profession in kart racing (Grand Prix Karting)…
…and even one’s health (Nationwide Children’s)…

…particularly the back and the teeth (Skaates/Smile Doctors).
But the festival wasn’t all about getting informed and collecting pamphlets (or free candy, for that matter)…
…there were also fun things to do like dunking…
…jumping and climbing…
…pony rides (Horse N Round Fun)…
…face painting…
…various entertainment shows (Mr. Puppet)…
…and even some shopping, whether for your doll (That’s Sew Cute!)…
…your dog (Halee’s Promise Dog Sanctuary)…
…your food-storage obsessed parents (Tupperware)…
…your inner Moana (Aloha Treasures).
…or your appetite.

With ice cream (Handel’s), shaved ice (Kona)…
…hot dogs (Dane’s)…
…and tacos (Taquitos)…
…there was plenty of kid-friendly foods at the festival (Big Mouth).
I, myself, went with a more adult-friendly kraut-covered Knockwurst from Schmidt’s.
