Alterfest is a festival that takes place at Archbishop Alter High School. Along with a carnival, there are plenty of games for older and younger kids, card tables for adults, live music, beer and wine stations and an assortment of food, including chicken dinners.

This post documents my experience on September 6, 2026.
Alterfest took place on the grounds of the Archbishop Alter High School…
…equipped with carnival rides in the back…

…food truck/concession options…
…and a lineup of games…

…for kids to test their aim…

…precision and luck…
…while a second gaming area…

…was better suited for the younger ones.
Under the cover provided by a collection of tents…
…the games continue with monetary rewards…
…particularly in this section…

…where Blackjack was king.
This area was huge with plenty of seating…

…allowing guests to sit and enjoy a cold one from various beer stations…
…a glass of wine from the wine bar…
…or something to eat from the food station…
…which provided a full menu of options.
There was also a chicken dinner station…
…where you got half a grilled chicken, a roll and two sides
(not sure why there’s only one side in this pic).
Finally, near the pull-tab table…
…there was another tent with more beer…
…seating and a stage…
…where guests could enjoy some great live music.
