This post documents my experience at the Ohio location on August 15, 2026.
I arrived at the Great Camelot Renaissance Faire in the early afternoon…
…as festival goers practiced their archery skills…
…stopped to smell the flowers…
…went on pony rides…
…got a quick touch-up…
…or found something to eat among menus offering Cajun cuisine…
…hillbilly hot dogs, tex mex…
…and the traditional turkey legs.
Diners could take that food to a nearby pub…
…where there were bars available for drinks…
…live entertainment…
…and a vendor market.
Many more vendors could be found spread throughout the grounds…
…for those in need of weapons and armory…
…costumes and accessories…
…animal head and foot gear…
…and even some fur.
There were miniature people…
…resin gnomes and critters…
…a variety of tea…
…lavender products galore…
…scalemail outfits…
…and jewelry that was both chainmaille inspired…
…and copper electroformed.
Between all the shopping and eating, there was the entertainment…
…as multiple staged areas were set up for over 40 performances each day…
…of which I enjoyed a pirate circus act (Knotty Bits)…
…and an afternoon joust (Equus Nobilis).
But my favorite part of these events is always the outfits/costumes…
…as they are often creative…
…and put together with a lot of thought and effort.
