This post documents my experience on August 15, 2026.

The North Canton Main Street Festival returned downtown to celebrate the end of summer.

Community organizations were strongly present…

…informing guests about local parks…

…political candidates…

…community churches and religious organizations…

…pregnancy/parenting services…

…and even a $5 hot dog meal.

Among them were local businesses/contractors with games and service info…

…multi-level marketing businesses, with foodstuff and more…

…and various other gift vendors with backpacks and accessories…

…wooden decor for outside and inside the home…

…tiki torches, locally themed shirts…

…and an assortment of handcrafted jewelry.

Along the southern half of the festival grounds…

…food trucks were sprinkled, serving up cheeseburgers, quesadillas…

…hibachi and cheesesteak…

…with coffee and tea options to wash it down…

…or harder beverages for the adults.

The north side, meanwhile, had a designated BBQ Market…

…with smoked chicken, pulled pork…

…brisket, mac and cheese…

…and so much more…

…including this pulled pork Sammie topped with cole slaw…

…(which would have gone lovely with one of those giant donuts).

Finally, the festival also offered plenty to do.

Kids could take advantage of balloon animals and face painting…

…jump houses and slides…

…a lego station…

…a dunk tank…

…various large vehicles to climb onto…

…and all sort of games/giveaways among many booths.

Meanwhile, everyone could appreciate the stilt walkers above them…

…the demonstrations and shows at the steps…

…the games and performances on the main stage…

…the highlight being the evening free concert…

…and the wrestling ring on E Maple St…

…which was particularly entertaining.
