Earth Day Festivals, 420 Celebrations, Books, Maple Syrup and more!
Welcome back, Festival Fans.
Festival numbers are starting to pick up this weekend and they will continue to pick up over the weeks ahead.
By mid to late May, it will be full Festival Season in Ohio!
Two big types of celebrations this weekend are Earth Day Festivals and 420 Celebrations.
While many communities will have some type of Earth Day event this weekend, the more festival-esque occasions can be found in Chillicothe, Oxford, Seville and Huron.
Meanwhile, thanks to the legalization of marijuana in Ohio, the 420 festivals are pretty new with festivals going on in Cadiz, Uniontown and Athens.
But, if you’re looking for something different, Ohio does have some more options:
- the Ohioana Book Festival offers tons of books written by Ohio authors, author panels, food trucks and more.
- Vintage Market Days in Xenia helps shoppers find their zen while also providing food trucks and live entertainment
- the Portsmouth Food Truck Fest is having their first festival with 12 trucks, vendors and live entertainment
- the Sugar Maple Festival in Bellbrook has food and craft vendors, a beer garden, a dog show, a pie eating competition and more
- plus there are various Vendors Shows, a Sewing and Quilt Expo, a Poultry Club Show, a Reptile Show, a Ceramic Show and an Oddities and Curiosity Expo.
It should be a great weekend!
