This post documents my experience on October 7, 2011.
When I visited Cambridge for the first time last year, it was to check out their Dickens Victorian Village holiday event where the town is decorated with life-size figures and Christmas cheer.
Although I didn’t document it here (it’s not really a festival), I secretly hoped for a time where I would be able to return to further explore this cute town in the name of a festival.
It would take nearly a year for that opportunity…
.…to bring me back to downtown….
…when I came for the October Fall Festival.
Basically consisting of a seasonal town festival….
…there was a decent food selection…

…from local food to almost-forgotten chains…
…as well as a beer garden…
…musical entertainment…
…a face painter…
…new cars to admire…
…and plenty of fall merchandise.

Both sides of the road were lined up with Fall crafts, antiques…
…and various baked goods…
… and sometimes tables were setup on the sidewalk when connected to area stores.
In fact, one of the reasons I enjoyed this festival was because it gave festival goers an excuse to also check out some of Cambridge’s stores…
…including A Taste of Ohio…
…and the Penny Court antique mall.
And once they explored the stores encompassed by the festival, who knew what else they would find through their wanderings?
Perhaps they would turn a corner…
…and find a mural of childhood resident William Boyd/Hopalong Cassidy.
Or perhaps they would continue down Wheeling Avenue….
…and discover the tasty treats at Kennedy’s Bakery.
I do admit that I’m a sucker for the latter.
