Now that we’re experiencing full summer, it seems city festivals are popping up all over this fine state…
…including the city of Streetsboro.
Streetsboro Family Days is a free medium-sized festival for the city and area communities and it offers a lot…
…with rides…
…games…
…entertainment…
…beer…
…fair food…
…and a great bike/car show.
But, for me, after having been to so many, it was more interesting seeing the not-so-typical things that Family Days had available…
…like cooking demonstrations…
…and even Chrysler test-drives.
(They offered a free lunch and a chance to win $45k in store credit.)
It was Family Days’ variety and reflection of the community that made the festival most interesting…
…whether by expressing its tea party-ish-ness….
…or by spreading awareness in order to help POW’s/MIA’s and American Veterans (Rolling Thunder).
In fact, the community was represented in many ways….
…from nightclubs and area ghost hunters…
…to school band boosters and area churches.
There was even a vendor offering 20 pounds of pork products…
…to those who guessed the weight of this pig in the cooler.
I was thinking 45 lbs.
Think I could have won?
