This post documents my experience on June 18, 2011.
With my day starting in Columbus and stopping along the way at festivals in Coshocton, Dennison and Bolivar, there was something peaceful about ending the rather long day back in Cleveland…
…at the Clifton Arts and Musicfest.
By the time I got there, the day was beautiful with a nice breeze…
…perfect for strolling along the many art booths on each side of the street…

…listening to the bands set up between them…
…and watching the sand art come to life before your eyes.
Food-wise, things were relatively simple….

…with an Asian food booth and sandwiches on the east end…
…and the Tick Tock Tavern taking care of festival goers on the west.
In fact, you had to keep a watchful eye of what was going on beyond the booths so that you didn’t miss…
…a sale at Big Fun…
…an occasional yard sale…
…or even a chance for your child to paint something beautiful…
…and hang it on the wall with the other art.
And speaking of art, there was a fine selection in various forms, whether for decoration or use, including…
…paintings…
…pottery…
…wood and stone creations…
…soap…
…and noise-making frogs.
But three booths really stuck out for me.
1.) The Amazing Jellyfish: For the incredible idea of putting live jellyfish in a resin to create an artistic (and beautiful) glow-in-the-dark night light…
…I thought these made great conversation pieces.
2.) Paper Planet Wearables: For helping the world by reusing paper waste and turning it into beautiful jewelry…
…I thought it was genius.
3.) Potty Pockets: For creating the perfect early Christmas gift for my neighbors and everyone’s neighbors so that we don’t have to find any more surprises in our yards, walking trails or festivals…
…I humbly salute you.
I’m also a huge fan of alliteration.
