As travelers drove into Davis, West Virginia, they became instantly aware of the Leaf Peeper’s Festival

…a festival found further along and on both sides of the Appalachian Highway.

On the north side of the highway…

…festival goers could enjoy some BBQ and shish kabobs (South Branch BBQ/Gobs and Gobs of Kebobs)…

…or they could continue on to the entrance of a Craft Show…

…for some hot dogs and sandwiches…

…before taking part in the craft auction…

…and shopping among the room filled with craft vendors…

…offering leather goods (Bear’s Leather Shop)…

…wool figures and Christmas stockings (Sunny Side Wools)…

…rustic furniture and home decor (Newhall’s Rustics)…

…handcrafted art jewelry (Chrizart)…

…and framed pictures made from natural items founds in the woods and fields (Butch Upole).

On the south side of the highway in the parking lot…

…the festival put on an Octoberfest…

… with local wine and meade tastings…

…a children’s activity area with inflatables…

…face painting…

…carriage rides…

…an area for musical entertainment (Jason Good Blues Band)…

…and even more food options, thanks to local food trucks (Gils Pit Beef/Farm Up Truck)…

…and chicken dinners from the Tucker County Rotary.

There was also a booth area with Tucker County city shirts (ArtSpring)…

…tourism info for the greater Parkersburg area…

…locally made knives (MS Knives)…

…handcrafted wood items with some awesome antler bowls (Deeply Rooted)…

…and a pepperoni roll fundraiser for the 1st and 2nd grades (Tucker County Schools)…

…because who doesn’t like pepperoni rolls?
