The following is a guest review from Danielle of the awesome event site Find Time for Fun. Please be sure to check it out. Hope you enjoy the review!
I’m excited to write a festival review for OhioFestivals.net. While, I’m not as seasonal of a festival goer as Kristian is, I’ll do my best to tell you all about the Jackson Community Celebration.
Jackson Township is located in Stark County about five miles west of Canton. Each year near the end of June, the community hosts a summer festival at North Park. The festival includes a car show, 5k run, fireworks, rides, games, food and musical entertainment.
As we approached the festival grounds we were drawn to the parking lot filled with unique cars and trucks. There we saw a wide variety of vehicles to look at.
Including a historic firetruck, numerous Camaros and my personal favorite Kit from Knight Rider complete with the voice and moving red light.
Of course, you’ll have to take my word on it considering I was obviously too star stuck to snap a picture.
After browsing the car show, we headed off to the main festival grounds that boasted a typical selection of fair foods.
Alongside the food carts were a handful of vendor booths where various community organizations were present.
Including the Jackson Township Police Department, Fire Department, Community Parks & Recreations and Jackson Local Schools.
But all that aside, it was quite evident what the main attraction of the festival was…
In total, there were approximately 15 rides available for both kids and adults and this is where the majority of the people gathered.
After the kids meticulously selected which rides to go on, we all headed back to the car with two very happy children…
…and a funnel cake to enjoy on the way home.
