25.) West Newton Community Festival Review – Pennsylvania – September 9, 2017

As the official town crier (Your Speaking Solutions) of the West Newton Community Festival would tell you…

…this festival was all about community.

The main square of vendors was more-or-less divided into vendors (left) and food (right)…

…and, although it wasn’t obvious where all food vendors were from…

…most had some sign or banner that showed that burgers were cooked by the fire department…

…the festival committee served up the hot dogs…

…the youth and community center controlled the walking tacos (Waypoint)…

…and both funnel cakes and lemonade benefited the community pool.

Gift vendors also had a very local feel, selling Pennsylvania Dutch foods…

…crystals and crystal necklaces…

…welcome rocks…

…dog jackets and accessories (Inprints)…

…tote bags made from chicken feed bags (Chicken To Go)…

…and Youghiogheny Riverwear.

Kids had plenty to do at this festival with tractor rides…

…inflatables…

…face painting…

…games…

…and some very old-fashioned panhandling.

Adults, meanwhile, had games of their own…

…raffling opportunities…

…and plenty of musical entertainment.

But, if the music got too loud, anyone could slip through this doorway…

…and head upstairs for a peaceful game of bingo.
