25.) Sweet Corn Festival Review – Millersport – September 3, 2016

When I first walked up to the Sweet Corn Festival‘s giant corn…

…I thought it might be a smaller festival with a few photo ops…

…and plenty of rides…

…because, honestly, rides were all I could see at the entrance.

But as I moved farther, I saw booths beyond the rides…

…with local groups selling Amish fry pies and turkey legs…

…chicken and waffles and pork chops.

Honestly, there was such a great selection of food all over the festival grounds…

…that this corn booth felt like a secondary item…

…even if there was a dedicated space for eating it.

No, although there was a souvenir building…

…with corn festival memorabilia…

…the festival’s main food attraction (to me) was the donut booth…

…where people bought freshly fried donuts by the dozen…

…and even I broke down and got one.

Fortunately, the sugary energy helped me check out other aspects of the festival…

…including the craft vendors…

…the pony rides…

…and the Family Game Area…

…with its prizes galore.

But games weren’t just for the kids.

The adults had Bingo…

…a slew of betting games…

…and some bigger money pots…

…that you could try your luck on here.

There was also entertainment all around on various stages…

…and you never knew if you would come across some cloggers (Buckeye Country Cloggers)…

…some tractor pulling…

…or even an elephant.
