Authors’s Note:  I last reviewed this festival in 2010.  After a long festival-hopping day, I arrived in time to experience the musical entertainment, but came too late for the vendors.  This year, I seemed to arrive in time for the vendors, but much too early for the musical entertainment (there may have been a pancake breakfast transition, actually).

Therefore, to get the full festival picture, please read my 2010 Review, which you can find here…

My 2010 Experience

It was late morning in downtown Port Clinton…

…and, inside the festival tent…

…people were setting up the food booths, the beer area…

…and the music stage.

Fortunately, just out the other side, vendors were in full operation…

…and it was obvious that the Harvest Festival was going on!

Among the two rows of vendors…

…there was decor a-plenty for around the home…

…a cleaning service for inside it (Amy Jo’s)…

…a fair amount of animal rescues (Safe Harbor/Humane Society)…

… and items that included towels…

…yarn (Traveling Yarn Shop)…

…”stuff”…

… and mums and produce galore.

Just beyond the vendors’ area was a children’s area…

…with inflatables…

…games…

…face painting…

…and various children’s activity booths…

…that included a missionary fundraising booth (Ashton)…

…where kids could decorate pumpkins for free.

Finally, food booths could be found inside the tent…

…among local businesses – sometimes hidden by the tent…

… and out in the vendors’ area…

…where I nabbed this peanut butter chili cheeseburger (not joking)…

…and left the festival a happy boy (courtesy of Sandusky Register).
