We arrived at The West Woods for the Nature Arts Festival…

…but we ran into a snag, eventually finding another lot down the way.

But when we missed the shuttle bus…

…we went through the woods on foot…

…(and someone’s private property)…

…walking…

…and walking…

…until we finally arrived.

Outside artists at the festival offered items that included…

…jewelry, stained glass…

…pottery and painted rain barrels.

A chalked sign invited young artists…

…to develop their own talents…

…and there was also a kids’ activity station for making butterfly masks, hats and painted rocks.

Inside the park building…

…along with the natural exhibits…

…more artists were present…

…and I seemed to take particular interest in clay owls (Kim von Hedemann)…

…painted owls (Monika Rock)…

…and even encaustic owls (Paul Fletcher).

Heading back outside to the front parking lot…

…we passed balloon artists…

…face painting…

…and walking tour opportunities…

…making our way to the market and food court.

The former sold local Geauga artisan bacon…

…local garlic products (Minced Market)…

…and local hot sauce (Fred Hot Spice)…

…while the latter offered sandwiches, smoothies…

…and even mini donuts.

All foods could be enjoyed at the Hungry Heron Cafe…

…where a small music stage was also set.

And if you were too stuffed to walk all the way to your car afterwards…

…the shuttle pick up was only a few feet away.

FYI – we did take the shuttle back!
