AUTHOR’S NOTE: Since the review, this festival has been converted into a one day event called Falloween.  I think the review basically still applies.

Not only was downtown Medina decorated for Halloween with pumpkins…

…and plenty of scarecrows…

…but they were also celebrating a Halloween Harvest Festival

…right in the heart of the square.

With some different events on each of the two days…

…I came late on Saturday toward the end of the Farmer’s Market…

…to still find plenty of sweet treats…

…a food truck for lunch (Pig Lickin’)…

…and activities galore with the help of inflatables…

…face painting…

…a bit of Jazzersize…

…and a huge game area (Medina Community Church)…

…where kids (and adults) could throw footballs…

…shoot down Halloween critters…

…or practice their putting skills.

Even many booths at the festival were kid-influenced…

…hosted by community clubs (Moms Club of Medina – East – West)…

…educational institutions (Medina City Schools)…

…and the occasional Cub Scout Pack (3527) selling popcorn.

Walking around, I was happy to see a nice amount of kids in costume…

…even if some outfits were a little frightening (something scary about short Grim Reapers)…

…but this might have been to impress TV horror host and festival guest Janet Decay (Daughter of the Ghoul Show), who was haunting the grounds with her favorite camera-monkey.
