Author’s Note: In 2009, I wrote one of my earliest blog reviews for the Geneva Grape Jamboree (which you can read here –http://ohiofestivals.net/24-geneva-grape-jamboree-geneva-ohio-saturday-september-26-2009/).

This year, I decided to return, take more pictures and search for any changes.  I hope you like it.

After 6 years, I returned to Geneva, where the hydrants are purple…

…and grapes are celebrated at harvest time during the Geneva Grape Jamboree.

For the kids, there were some decent carnival rides…

…and various games…

…whereas adults were pointed in different directions…

…toward various shows…

…including a nicely sized craft show…

…where you could find cutting boards…

…dolls…

…unique jewelry (Bullet Jewelry Designs)…

…and even some flavored breads (Rick’s).

Although there were some food booths at the craft show…

…as well as dinner offerings at some local churches…

…most of the food vendors were lined up and down the main drag…

…and divided into two sections by a large entertainment stage.

Food vendors offered everything from BBQ to pierogi…

…and although you could find grape margaritas to the north of the stage (Luisa’s)…

…it was south of the stage where you found grape crepes…

…grape cotton candy and candy apples…

…grape juice…

…entire grape pies…

…(also available by the slice)…

…purple cows…

…which involved grape juice and vanilla ice cream…

…and grape ice cream served by the Christ Episcopal Church

…who failed to offer me any free ice cream after I made it clear that the photo they used in their sign…

…was of my hand and from my 2009 Geneva Grape Jamboree review.

*Sigh*

Then after filling up, festival goers could find some great grape souvenirs via homemade grape fudge…

…colorful grape popcorn (Nom Nom)…

…and a festival shirt or two.
