After a 15 minute parking line, I was happy to walk to the entrance…

…of the Flat Rock Creek Fall Festival

…a rather large festival…

…with all sort of things to do and see.

I started in the flea market area…

…where I found fishing poles…

…old tools…

…politically charged apparel…

…foodstuffs…

…coffee pot water fountains (John Auer)…

…and lawn decor galore.

Fairground buildings were filled with vendors…

…and sometimes buildings…

…only led to more buildings.

It was fun to explore…

…as you never knew what you would find…

…or who you would meet (Happy 60th birthday, ladies!).

And beyond the general flea market area, the vendors continued with clothing…

…leather goods…

…and anything vintage.

Stages were set up all over the grounds…

…to keep the energy moving (Stockdale Family Band)…

…so that festival goers could keep truckin’ on to enjoy truck shows…

…tractor shows…

…a quilt show…

…and a competition with draft horses…

…that pulled quite impressive loads.

And as the kids started into the Kidzone…

…got their face painted…

…or took a ride on the train…

…I started looking for lunch among booths hosted by local organizations and churches…

…and there was a rather large selection of offerings.

But, in the end, I decided to stop at the Paulding FFA booth…

…for a delicious whole hog sausage sandwich with egg and cheese.
