22.) Farmers and Threshermens Jubilee Review – New Centerville, Pennsylvania – September 9, 2017

AUTHOR’S NOTE: When I arrived at this festival, I only saw a few small parking lots that were filled with cars.  I eventually found a spot in a lot near the entrance and considered myself lucky.

While going through the festival, I realized there were other entrances and a huge field filled with cars.

When I left the festival, I noticed an unmarked road to reach that parking field…therefore, if you attend this festival, just drive around and you’ll find it. 🙂

After paying my $4 admission, I walked through the entryway…

…and headed straight to the Farmers and Threshermens Jubilee.

I was immediately greeted with farm equipment…

…lined up for sale…

…along with outdoor furnaces…

…and sheds.

This was followed by a long building and a central area occupied by vendors…

…selling everything from jewelry, furniture…

…goat milk soaps and lotions (Ludden Family Farm)…

…floral wreaths…

…belts…

…balloons for the kids and more.

As I walked around, workers prepared the stage for the chainsaw carving show…

…4 wheelers lined up for the pull competition in the track area…

…and someone called out bingo numbers on a loudspeaker.

As I explored the grounds even further…

…I came across a horseshoe tossing competition…

…various demonstrations all over the grounds…

…a multitude of antique tractors and steam plows…

…and many hypnotic mechanical marvels, both big…

…and small.

Food was plentiful at the jubilee as various booths sold pizza, funnel cakes…

…and apple dumplings galore.

And there was still more for those who entered the Cider Mill…

…for some apple cider and bean soup…

…and those who entered this building…

…for still even more food…

…as well as a dining area…

…more vendors…

…a stage…

…and exhibits of the entries for the artistic competitions.
