Named after General David Wooster of the American Revolutionary War, Wooster is a city where I took almost as many photos of the city as I did of their city festival.

Here in Wooster…

…the Wayne County Courthouse demands your attention…

…the downtown stores are charming…

…and the window displays are entertaining.

Rubbermaid was even founded here!

So, with such a cute and interesting town, it only made sense to celebrate Wooster pride…

…through Woosterfest.

Held in downtown Wooster, Woosterfest seemed to be more of a celebration for city residents and neighbors than for outsiders. I say this mostly because I hadn’t heard about the festival until recently by some Wooster residents. Also, I never did see any tourist information booths or literature for visitors as I have at other festivals.

Still, it was a cute festival with a nice selection of food vendors…

…including BBQ from Massillon and our old German friend from Columbus.

There were also donuts and Amish fry pies from some neighboring towns…

…where we took advantage of the former.

Along the row of vendors…

…there were clothes and accessories…

…ceramic fun (Lots of Knots) to take part in…

…a local not-for-profit group for pets…

…and a cool Nascar game to try your luck on.

While adults were busy with Nascar race tickets, kids could…
.

…score a prize with the goal kick…

…climb this huge inflatable…

…or get their face painted (notice the skulls behind the clown).

Other entertainment took place primarily…

…at this performance area.

And with wine…

…a huge beer truck…

…and a fall-themed eating area nearby…

…it was easy to hang around for the bands, the talent show, and the beer stein race.

Unfortunately, it was too early for any of that while we were there and we still had to continue on for our full day in Amish country.

We grabbed our still-hot donuts and headed back to the car…

…while one of the residents seemed sad to see us go.
